Digital Design Solutions has been closely involved in the exciting evolution of our website. We wanted to integrate e-commerce into our six-year-old largely positioning website, and add event registration along with purchase ability for our various publications. Our events varied from three-day forums, two-day meetings and day-long workshops, requiring not just variable pricing but also integration of the pricing with our Members and non-members.
Digital Design Solutions incorporated Shopsite into our website enabling our clients to join our firm at one of three available levels which were tied to various discounts for our events. Thus event registration had to be tied not only to members and non-members, but also reflect the correct pricing when a person registered for multiple events. This information was transferred to a dynamic database that had to be manageable from our firm’s administrative back office for ease of tracking and follow-up. There were other elements like attendance at evening functions and dinners that needed to be tracked.
Website visitors and clients were also offered the ability to purchase various publications online. Merit installed Authorize Net into our existing website format which allowed credit card processing, automatic acknowledgement of receipts and event registration.
We faced several constraints; our site was rather narrow considering all the new elements that had to be instituted. Then there was a budget we needed to keep in mind. Merit and her team worked assiduously to get the site up in record time, and although we had some growing pains, most of the registration was enabled, and tracking achieved. Since that initial event, registration for workshops and other special events has been implemented.
Merit and her team have been great to work with and have consistently demonstrated a responsive and refreshing “can do” attitude. Merit has strived to deliver quickly, even under time constraints. I have been impressed with her patience, her professional attitude and her willingness to listen and make changes.
