By the Fall of 2013, the time had come to update our company website. We are a very old bicycle manufacturing company from NYC, and had been selling directly on the internet since 2004. We had previously been a strictly do-it-yourself web operation dating back to the mid-90’s, but knew this time we needed to enlist professional help in bringing our moderate-to-high traffic E-Commerce store up to speed. Being very protective of our backoffice, we would need exactly the right person to entrust with the job.
After sending out a few feelers through the “Shopsite recommended developers” page, Merit responded right away with a friendly, enthusiastic email and quote for the work we wanted to do. It was clear from the start she would be the one. Over the next several weeks, we had numerous productive conference calls with Merit and Tara in order to get the project going exactly the way we wanted. We made a lot of changes throughout the process, sometimes going back and forth on the same issues numerous times before we got it “just right”. Every one of our requests was handled with ease and a virtual smile on everyone’s face. The team at Digital Design Solutions even offered their own suggestions along the way.
In the end, we wound up modernizing the look and feel of our product pages by about 15 years. We are now able to display product overview, details, photo galleries, shipping information, “you may also like”, product reviews, and other features all in a nice, tidy package. We hope this will do wonders for our customers, as we can now provide them with substantially more information than we did before. In addition, we have a brand new shopping cart and check out screens, which are fully branded, and which should inspire confidence in our potential buyers.
Overall, we are very satisfied with the outcome AND the process of modernizing our website. We could not have imaged working with anyone better. Thank you Merit and Tara!
